A thousand apologies
Time has become a vacuum here in our quaint village nestled in the Jura Mountains. My past month has been a whirlwind of visitors, Drs. appointments, being ill, knitting, baby planning, and lots of sleep. Rather than even trying to pick up from where I left off, I shall merely start a new.
On the knitting front, I have finished a hat for my cute as can be cousin (which needs to be mailed), a pair of socks, and am finishing up a sleep sack for Periwinkle made from the simply divine alpaca yarn gifted to me by the lovely P.B.
The house is slowly getting more organized in anticipation of the new arrival. We installed a new shelving unit in the bathroom and it really classes up the joint. Now I just need to make the attic more into a storage area and less a nesting ground for the Tazmanian Devil.
Thanksgiving is coming soon and I am very thankful to have the opportunity to spend it with all of our friends here. There may not be turkey, or my mom’s pumpkin bread, but there will be food and lots of laughs.
The foodie in me has been AWOL most of this pregnancy, so I can’t promise too many recipe posts in the next few months, but I hope to get some serious knitting discussions begun in the near future.
